When we met I was bound to fall,
Monkey see, Monkey do,

Young, naive and carefree,

Promises of forgotten pain,
And to never be alone again,
Your lies were too tempting,
Without skills of reasoning,

How could I know better,
With parents who never,
Their reasoning in defense,

  1. Love it, I thank you for sharing, I read your posts all the time and am grateful for them, I'm getting my 5 year chip this month at 28 years old which I'm truly grateful for and being able to connect with other addicts around my age has been a blessing to know Sobriety is a lot of fun and I didn't have to be old to get sober.lol
